Our Impact – Abundant Harvest Aquaponics

Our Impact

Abundant Harvest has put together a Development Plan that includes building 4 – 4000 sq. ft. Energy Efficient, Environmentally Friendly Greenhouses that will house an Aquaponic, Hydroponic, Fish growing facility for growing produce and fish, using 90% less water/utilities than “Traditional Farming”. Our mission will continue to be the donation of 30 – 50% of harvested produce and fish to needy families in the community through charitable food distributors.

The addition of an Aquaculture /Sustainability Institute will provide a space for community, schools, missionaries, and organizations to explore approaches that will help create a more sustainable society, that lives in a way that sustains rather than depletes the Ecosystem we rely on.

In our previous building, in 2014 we grew 18,000 pounds of produce, 10,000 pounds were donated between April and October, in a new more efficient building, we will create systems that will grow 100K – 150K pounds of produce and fruit, per greenhouse per year. Establishing an Aquaculture Institute will allow us to offer the community, a full-time “Living Classroom” dedicated to Sustainable Aquaculture/Agriculture.
