Abundant Harvest Aquaponics (AHA) began in 2010 as a community garden, driven by a simple yet powerful vision: Plant Seeds. Grow Food. Create Opportunity.
We’re a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization passionate about nourishing our community with both healthy, organic food and the knowledge to grow it ourselves.
Our Mission
Plant Seeds: We believe in nurturing a love for sustainable food production, empowering individuals and families to take control of their food choices.
Grow Food: We utilize innovative aquaponics systems to cultivate a diverse range of high-quality, organic produce for our community.
Create Opportunity: We strive to bridge the gap between food insecurity and access to fresh, nutritious produce.
Through education and donations, we aim to empower people of all backgrounds to experience the joy of growing and enjoying healthy food.
How We Impact Our Community
Sharing the Harvest: At Abundant Harvest Aquaponics, we believe in sharing the bounty of the earth. We are committed to donating 50% of all produce harvested to local food banks and community programs, ensuring those in need have access to fresh, organic vegetables and fruits.
Growing Knowledge: We are passionate about fostering a culture of sustainable food production. We offer educational workshops, hands-on experiences, and volunteer opportunities to equip individuals and families with the skills and knowledge to grow their own food.
The Future We Envision
Our vision extends beyond our current aquaponics system. Our long-term goal is to expand to include:
Four Greenhouses: Increased space for diverse and abundant produce cultivation.
Aquaculture Center: A dedicated facility for raising fish sustainably, providing a key element for our aquaponics system while offering educational opportunities.
Farmer’s Market: A vibrant space for our community to come together, purchase fresh, local produce, and connect with those who grow it.
